DLT Registration Process and Requirements

What is DLT?

DLT stands for Distributed Ledger Technology that enables the decentralized and secure storage and management of digital records or transactions across multiple participants or nodes in a communication network. The technology is able to handle multiple algos and queries in single instance. This decentralized system is able to hanle the large traffic to sync the various channel of different operort. DLT is often used interchangeably with blockchain technology, although blockchain is a specific type of DLT. Now the technology is using to handle large number of data to optimize and process on telecommunication channels where messaging and voice broadcasting mobile data requires to scrub using various channels.

DLT allows for the creation of a shared, synchronized, and immutable ledger of transactions or records, which is distributed across multiple participants rather than being stored in a central authority or database. Each participant in the network maintains a copy of the ledger and verifies and validates new transactions through a consensus mechanism. DLT gives an easiest way to synchronize the multiple operators data which comes from different sources of operator channel and it scrubs with every specific operator.

DLT provides several key benefits, including transparency, security, and resilience. It eliminates the need for a central authority or intermediary, reducing costs and increasing efficiency. It also enables trust and accountability among participants, as transactions are recorded in a tamper-proof manner. DLT has applications in various industries, including telecom, finance, supply chain management, healthcare, and more.

Why DLT Registration ?

DLT, Distributed Ledger Technology is an advanced technology now used by telcos for the scrubbing of Sender id and Message Content to control over the spamming and unsolicited SMS content. Now every entity who is availing A2P Bulk SMS or SMS service from any telco, telemarketer or any of the SMS vendors, they need to register their Entity in this platform. After registration Entity will get a unique Entity ID or PE ID from the DLT platform. Entity can be registered with any one of the telcos DLT platforms, JIO DLT, VILPOWER OR VODAFONE IDEA DLT, AIRTEL DLT, MTNL DLT, BSNL DLT, VCON OR SMARTPING DLT Platforms. Once Entity registered, they needed to upload Sender id of their brand name and SMS template content to define variables if any, in the SMS content which needed to be replaced. This is the complete procedure which can help to get DLT registration and its importance.
